And what is a reasonabl price for the tank and all the equipment and accessories (not counting the fish)? And what are some GOOD beginner saltwater fish? I've had lots of fresh water tanks over the years but I'd really like a saltwater tank. I'd love to have like 4 or 5 fish that are really colorful. I'd also like to have live coral in there. Now, what about seahorses? Is it true that they are extremely hard to keep alive especially for novices? What are some good sites that I can study to learn all I can about keeping saltwater fish. One more question! How often do I have to clean the tank to keep it pristine looking? I hate dirty looking fish tanks. THANKS!
so many questions. the price of the tank and equipment will easily run a grand easily maybe more. there are some things that could be added that are not used on fresh these are ozone machines, refugiem mud, (this is a must for a coral tank) protein skimmer, salt and live rock sand and coral substrate. damsles that includes clowns MOST mollies (these can take as little as 3 hours to change over to full salt then maybe tangs but not horses these are for very experienced people. go to the library get books and videos, after the acclimation period get a lawnmower bleny, it will keep things clean.
