Question:

What type of bit should I try for my horse?

I have a 6 year old, 15 hand paint mare. She is sweet, but can be spooky and headstrong. She was started as an English horse, with a Dressage background. She then was sold to someone who could not keep up with her training, and she greatly deteriorated in her training. When we got her, I re-started her in a rubber mouth D-ring. She responded well to this, and with regular work held much promise for the hunter/jumper plans I have for her. However, she's very smart, and discovered she could take hold on the rubber mouth and ignore it. I put her in a twist full cheek, and that works, but she hates it. She refuses to round, opens her mouth, pulls on the bit, and just generally resists me when she's ridden in the twisted. I think I need something in between, but I'm not sure what to try. Any ideas? This is what I've tried:Rubber mouth-

Answer:

I have them and both are in the kitchen. I have the refillable kind and need to know where to go to have them refilled. I heard you can go to a fire station and they will do it for free is this true? If you know can you email me?
Yes. It's safe. Just like smoking does that set off an alarm. No not unless you are right under a smoke detector. lol I see people ususally chose outdoors to smoke it though or in their garages
Occasional beeping like it is doing right now usually indicates it needs a new battery. The test button is there not to stop it from beeping, but to test the unit.
Yes, I do. I have four fire extinguishers in my home.
no I dont use gas, i make sure that my electrical devices are turned all the way off at night , I have smoke detectors in every room and live less than 1km from the nearest fire station.. All in all I don't think i need any one of those at home. However I do got one in the car
