What will weather faster in an arid climate: dolomite or sandstone? Thanks so much!!?
It depends on the sandstone. Dolomite is a fairly consistent type of fairly soft rock, but sandstone describes a huge family of different types of rock. Most sandstones would outlast dolomite, but some argillaceous sandstones are even softer than dolomite, crumble easily, and would erode faster. But if it's a multiple choice question, pick dolomite to erode faster.
