You are correct- you cannot get a loanI've never headr that you can get it permitted after the fact- if you did, you'd have to go through all the channels- have an architect drawn the designs and have it go thorugh engineeering, and then you probably have to rip open all the walls to have the pipes/electrical checked, etcUnless you're getting it for less htan half its worth, dont do it.
