I'm creating a cosplay(cos-tume+play) prop with sculpeyI want to make large, round pieces, similar to the shape of Pooh Bear's honey potAt first I was thinking of using aluminum foil to hold the pieces up and in shape, but that might change the temperatureNow I have paper mache models drying so that I can put sculpey over that and have a possibly good base for my creationMy question is what would happen if I put this in the oven, sculpey over the paper mache? I'm trying to make this light weight and hollowAny other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
i dont know.but it will sure make you crap.maybe thats how you lose weightzoom
You should think about whether sculpey is resilient enough that a thin and hollow piece will stand up to the rigors of being part of your costume Aluminum foil should not change the temperature, since it will be inside your modelThe reason it changes the temperature of things is because it reflects heat; but your piece will be cooking from the outside in, so having aluminum inside shouldn't be a problem.
