Question:

What would it take to change a 6.0l motor in a powerstroke to a 7.3l powerstroke motor?

would like to change out my powerstroke motor, i have a 7.3L and would like to put it in the place of the 6.0L, change them out.

Answer:

Motor, computer, engine hoist, a lot of oil, appropriate filters and fluids, and a lot of beer.
For less than four grand you can get ARP head bolts and studs and an EGR delete done at a shop, that should solve most the the typical 6L problems, rather than gambling on a whole new motor which you wont be able to tell if it was taken care of or beat to hell.
