Each Measure or Bar is divided by vertical lines in the music. example: the words Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens (4 bars), bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens ( 4 bars), brown paper packages tied up with strings( 4 bars). these are a few of my favorite things (4 bars) are 16 bars in the music (in 3/4 time, or three beats per measure. like a waltz)
