Whats are some best meals to cook?

if my hubby is on a detox diet.Sorry if its a dumb question.

Answer:

You can make 'rock candy' with either regular or powdered sugar use two cups of sugar and one cup of water (if you want a bigger batch, just use this 2-1 measurement) and put it into a DEEP pot and heat it, stirring constantly until it is 'liquid' then you'll need to start 'taking it's temperature' with a CANDY THERMOMETER and you must get it to the 'hard candy' temperature and let it 'cook at that temp' for at least ten more minutesYou'll need to 'stir constantly' to keep it from BURNING so I suggest that you have some friends over and make 'candy' together that way you can 'trade off' on the stirringWhen it's 'cooked' at that 'hard candy' temp for ten minutes, take it off the heat and IMMEDIATELY pour it into a 'shallow baking pan' the 'thinner' it is, the faster it will harden and you can eat it but if you want, and have 'tons of time' you can pour it to up to an 'inch' deep and cover it TIGHTLY and put it into a COOL DRY PLACE (NOT THE FRIDGE!!!) to harden for several daysWhen it's about 'half hardened' you can go in and 'break it up and stir' so the 'not hard stuff' will act like 'glue' and hold the 'broken up stuff' like 'crystals' and so you'll have 'rock candy.' You may add a few drops of 'food coloring' to the water before you measure it, but not after because even those 'few drops' can cause it not to harden properly and you want 'rock candy' not a 'sheet of hardened sugar' .
Ingredients 4 cups sugar 1 cup water Food coloring Clean glass jar String, cut into 6-inch lengths Pencil Instructions In a medium saucepan, heat 2 cups of the sugar and the waterDo not boil! Stir until the sugar is completely dissolvedGradually add a few drops of the food coloring of your choice and the additional sugar, stirring continuously until all the sugar is dissolved Pour the solution into a clean glass jar and tie the pieces of string to the pencil and suspend them across the mouth of the jar so that the ends hang into the sugar water Crystals suitable to eat will form in an hour and continue for several days to a weekPieces can be broken off and eaten after the first hour(But, try to hold out for big crystals!) Although you may see quick results in small measure, the larger rock candy crystals you're accustomed to seeing in the candy store will take some time to form.
Things You'll Need Water Sugar Clean glass or jar Pencil or skewer stick Cotton string or twine Pot to boil water Spoon (for stirring) Start a pot of water boiling on the stoveTie a piece of string around the middle of the pencil/stick/butter knifeThe string should be long enough so that when the pencil is placed over the top of the glass, the string will come up just short of the bottomWet the string with a little water and roll it in the sugarPut the paper clip on the end of the string to act as a weight and help the string stay straightLay the stick over the top of the glass jar so that the string hangs down inside the jar, but not touching the bottom of the jarWhen the water has started boiling, remove it from the heat and let the water settleStir in the sugar, 1 tablespoon at a timeContinue adding sugar until it starts collecting at the bottom of the pot and won't dissolve even when you stirIf you want to add flavoring or color, stir it in nowNow pour the hot mixture into the jarPour the sugar solution into the glass until it is about 1 from the topPlace the pencil over the jar and allow the string to dangle into the solutionDon't let the string settle on the bottom or sides of the glassPlace the glass somewhere that it can sit for a while undisturbed (but do not refrigerate it)After a day or so, you should be seeing crystal growth on the stringLeave the string in the solution until the crystals are big enough for you or have completely stopped growingRemove the string from the glass and let dryEat and enjoy! )
I haven't a clue as to what your hubby is detoxing from, so here is a really easy recipe for youHobo Burgers Shopping List aluminum foil 1 lbground sirloin 4-6 small red potatoes small carrots (1 bag) fresh garlic small onion favorite spices Prep: Pre-heat oven to 350Divide out the hamburger into four round ballsPlace onto large sheet of aluminum foil (approx 18 inches long)Cut potatoes, and carrots into bite size pieces and evenly divide between the four aluminum sheetsBreak open the garlic, separate the cloves, then peel them and put them whole onto the ground sirloin, potatoes carrotsDo the same with the onionsSeason with your favorite seasonings to tasteFold the aluminum foil width wise until it almost touches the foodThen fold and crimp the edges to seal it completelyPlace all four packages onto a cookie sheet and cook at 350 for 1 1/4 hoursRemove from oven, place the whole thing in a large bowl, open and enjoy! Hobo Burgers or Poor Mans Pot RoastDelicious! Hope this helps.
you can always add a tsp of flavoring to the mixture after the sugar dissolves for a flavored candy, instead of just sugar!
