Will it go off even if its locked and you just pull on the handle?
Some cars have a switch that is actuated by pulling on the handle. If your car has such a switch and it is hooked into the alarm system it should set off the alarm. Some cars have the switch but are there to turn on some lights so people can see to get in their car at night. Some cars use a voltage sensor that sets off the alarm when the voltage changes as when you open the door and the lights come on it causes a slight voltage reduction and sets off the alarm. Then we could go into motion / vibration sensors, infrared and sound detectors, etc.
Maybe or maybe not, it depends on the year, make and model and if its your then try it and if not then leave it alone !!!
