Question:

when is a lime ready to pick?

I live in Las Vegas and don't know when my limes are ready to pick. How long after they flower do I pick them? Should they be very round or are they more oval?

Answer:

It would take considerably more water to mask the taste than lemon-lime soda. I am not sure exactly what you mean by mask, but either way the obvious choice out of the two (best way) is to use the lemon-lime soda. If by mask you mean completely cover up (as in unable to detect any alcohol) then I do not know how much, maybe 7 parts soda (7-1)? If by mask you mean make it easier to drink than I would say maybe 3-1 (for a nice strong drink). Either way I would definitely stick with the lemon-lime soda.
Really depends on proof.
