I love the look and feel of leather but I am a vegetarian and am big on the whole don‘t-eat-or-wear-animals thing so I would never put real leather in my car. So do they actually mean real leather or is it something else? Like a fake leather?
Some vehicles can be ordered with Leather some with leatherette or cloth. BMW's can be ordered with leatherette and some people say it wears better and feels just like leather.
I'm sure that if they say leather, it would be leather. I do know some manufactures use what seems to be known as leatherette. This may be real hard to find on the car you want, though. Leather is considered a luxury feature, so it's standard on many higher-end cars.
It is real, natural leather. When it is artificial they call it simili sometimes. Personally I don't like it much in the car, I prefer fabrics.
