Question:

When using epoxy resin cast in silver jewellery how do I stop discolouration?

I would like to do some cold enamelling/ plique a jour in to my silver jewellery. I have been reading 'Resin Jewellery' by Kathie Murphy, where she warns about discolouration of silver when combined with resin but does not offer a solution. The best I can find online is:'Resin will discolor over time if in direct contact with silver. Coat the silver with a clear paint before pouring resin on it.'Read more: How to Use Epoxy Resin in Jewelry | eHow .uk

Answer:

number four i think would be because a tree could get struck by lightning
