To be honest. I think you will have to test this one yourself. I do not believe moisture will penetrate both the wrapping, and the ceramic. but it may. What is going on that you think you will need to do both?
the heat will come down more but I dont think it'll be worth the money time the ceramic should be cool enough as it is
By metal, they mean copper or silver. Not metal bars exactly. Just look around you should find some i found 3 copper bars. Good Luck !
