Question:

where is it better to keep my soft plastics?

plastic tackle box container, or in original bag?? if i keep them in a plastic tackle box, will the dry out and loose scent???

Answer:

Keep them in the original bag and put the bag in the tackle box. And ya they do dry out over time.
Original bag, especially if they're something like power-bait or Gulp! that is heavily filled with attractants. Plain old plastics will work good in plastic tackle box's but the scented ones lose their scent.
they might dry out over time. like more than 30 years. soft plastics are made of PVC and it's not going anywhere. but they will lose scent. you can keep them in a compartmentalized wormproof box or in their original bags if they have a zip top. otherwise freezer bags in the one quart size will work. put a shot of your favorite fish attractant like bang or smelly jelly on them to keep them juiced and ready. it will also help keep them shiny. you can do like some of the manufacturers and toss in a bit of kosher salt. don't let the worms come in contact with your tackle box or other plastic items like floats and lures. they may or may not be worm proof. you don't want to find out the hard way. dont let different colors contact each other. some colors bleed. also, some of the real stretchy worms will react badly if in contact with normal plastic worms. keep them separate.
Keep them in the original container sealed.
