I‘m starting to scrap and was wondering if anyone knew a few places to look for copper pipe. Thanks
copper is expensive.your just not going to find pipe laying around unless you can find a house being torn down.
On a raining day, gravel, and a 90 degree turn, I back tire came around and I went over the bars. Didn't break anything but I got messed up. I was 12 and my Dad said to up back on I would never ride again, so I got back on. Now I'm 60 and still riding, have a 1800 Honda Gold wing, and I've traveled all of Old 66 and I've got over 100,000 on the bike.
OUCH! Sued the farmer for leaving 6 inches of mud on a double bend and so did the widow of a lorry driver who died on the same bend. So here i am 50 years later still riding bikes and not looking to be giving up in the foreseeable future!
You won't find scrap copper for free anywhere. It's worth too much money these days.
A friend of mine, now deceased, used to tie old telegraph wires to his pickup bumper and pulled them down off old telegraph poles. Pure copper! Some local teens got caught removing new copper wiring from a new house under construction. They pulled it out of the walls, destroying the drywall. Their parents had to pay for the damage, it was not cheap! Salvage yards are in close contact with law enforcement agencies due to copper theft, so, be very careful how you get copper.
