I have to buy a combi boiler for supplying hotwater to 6 radiators, kitchen, two showers, washing machine and dishwasher all at the same time. 1. What power (in kW )boiler do I need? 2. Which model is most reliable? Thank you for your time, guys.
You don't want a combi you would want a system boiler with unvented cylinder (as long as your mains water is powerful enough a combi is designed for use in bungalows and small dwellings not big homes it will never cope
Hi Again I thought I had basically given you an answer to this question a while ago, it is not possible to say what size of boiler you require just by you asking a question. This will require a site visit by a heating installer to take the measurements of the rooms requiring radiators, a calculation using the sizes of the windows and type of construction used in the property and how many outside walls each room has to identify what size radiators are required.I also expressed the opinion that the demands you were making on the domestic water would probably require something out of the ordinary combi boiler range with a heatbank of some sort. You will just have to get estimates from installers that can make a site visit there is no other way of getting an accurate size of boiler.
hi sounds like you need a 30kw boiler which would be fine for your water/heat demands. it is possible for the installer to range the burner pressure to exactly suit your needs a boiler too big and ranged down is better than one working at full capacity. as for make vaillant are the best followed by worcester bosch, these boilers are the leading manufacturers and although they are not cheap (valliant 30kw ecotech ?1100) they are worth the money as in the long run they will last for years longer, more reliable and are self diagnosing - it will tell u what the fault is (saves paying ??$$?? to incompetent/dodgy heating engineers) get at least 3 quotes from gas safe engineers as prices to install vary widley and if possible avoid british gas as they are a rip off and will give a poor service for a high price.
