I am thinking of getting a Mac laptop for college next year, for just basics and uploading Microsoft.I am stuck between the MacBook White and the MacBook 2.4GhzI know the price differences and either one is fine.I really like the Macbook white, but the screen is better on the Macbook 2.4GHz and i would be getting a little higher end model with thatBut I LOVE the look of the the MacBook White? Please disregard my love for the white one lolWhat do you suggest i get?And I am only considering those 2 models thank you.
Go to a powder coating shop
You said, I really don't want to spend over 60 bucks on it, but I want it to look goodLots of luck with that ideaLearn to live with greenThank your parents for buying you a new bikeIn today's economy, most people aren't buying anythingAnd you just got a new bicycleThink about it.
Is it possible to get a flat black matte look? -yes - i would not paint a new bike though I really want a flat black matte look that will last in the rain because it rains a lot where I live ok but dirt looks bad on black too What paint stripper or sanding paper should I use? I have no sanding toolsAnd what paint would work best for my situation? Thank you soo much for your time! you have to take the whole bike apart i doubt you can do that fail wle
It will cost you about $40-60, depending on how much you need to paintFirst, you need to take everything apart, including removing the bearings and allThen, clean off all the dirt from the parts you are paintingYou need to sand down the parts just so its rough, not so its scratchedClean the parts off againYou want to stuff all holes (Like the headtube of the frame) with rags or lots of paper towels, and tape up all threaded areas with some kind of thick tapeYou will need to hang some parts up from a ceiling or tree branchBe sure to paint in lightly in bursts horizontally, 6-12 inches awayFor painting, you need to do 2 layers of primerDo black primer for a darker color, or white for a more vibrant colorWait 1 hour between the two layersAfter the last layer of primer, wait another hourThen, spray a light layer of paint over the partsWait 30 minutesNow, spray a little bit thicker layer of paint over the partsNow, you shouldn't be able to see any primerWait 30 minutesDo at least 2 more layers, waiting 30 minutes between eachNow, do at least 3 layers of clear coatWait the time it says on the back of the can between each layer to avoid runsYou can do more than 3 layers of clear coatThe more you do, the nicer and longer lasting the paint will beFor best performance, let the parts dry for 2 weeksYou can wait less, but it won't turn out as goodJust be absolutely sure the parts are dryFinally, regrease all the parts before you put the bike together again.
I just upgraded from White to AluminumThe main reason - durabilityI travel a lot, and the white one looked pretty beat up after just one year of useMy wife's older 15 Pro aluminum got the same use, and is older - but in a much better shape to to aluminum constructionMy kids - one in college - same story - 2 year old Pro is still doing fine, 1.5 year old White was just replacedLighted keyboard is also very nice.
