Which material is easily demagnetizable available in market that can be used for electromagnet?
Cheapest would be low alloy, low carbon steel, though you may have to anneal it (heat it red hot and let it cool slowly in fiberglass insulation) to get the lowest coercivity (easiest to demagnetize). Much better but more expensive is silicon iron transformer laminations.
