Which one is faster? Lighting or Light? I was wondering because both are light and does that mean both travel the same speed?

Electromagnetic waves can't advance up because of the fact it has no mass. subsequently no theory of advance in that is velocity could be verified. additionally gentle can't come out of the black hollow.because of the fact it may by no potential have sufficient ability capability to beat the gravitational ability of a black hollow. something going swifter than the fee of light dis-obeys all regulations of physics and doubt exist if the components of the wave can carry mutually .
What do you mean by the speed of lightning? Lightning is an electrical current flowing along a path of ionized air. That electrical discharge heats the air and makes it glow; this is the light you see. (The rapid expansion of the heated air creates a shockwave that you hear - thunder.) That light travels away from the lightning bolt at the speed of light, the same as the light traveling from the Sun or from a lightbulb. But the actual lightning bolt between the cloud and the ground moves slower than that. That path of ionized air that the current flows along takes a few tenths of a second to form between the cloud and the ground - if you figure a cloud height of 10,000 ft, the ionized air path is moving at about 100,000 ft / sec, or about 1/1000th the speed of light. The discharge happens pretty fast, but it stops and starts. You'll get a discharge, then a pause that lasts for 40-50 milliseconds, and then repeat. The glow might overlap that pause, as the air cools down relatively slowly, and it might burn itself into your vision if it's dark out, but you can often see it if you take high-speed video and slow it down. High speed cameras are able to see lightning form. Lightning is not light. Lightning is the air transformed into a plasma state so that it can carry a charge between the clouds and the ground. Since matter cannot be faster than light, light is faster than lightning (lightning is still matter, not light).
