I'm going to buy a Kimber 1911 but i can't decide between the kimber warrior model, or the tactical custom modelWhich would YOU choose?
I have several KimbersI have a TLE II Clackmas (older version of the Classic Custom - first series) Ultra Carry II Depends on what you want it forNot having access to the Website to see the configurations, and makeupI believe that the Tactical Custom is an aluminum allow based FrameWhile this is Great for Carry, there are some that would question it's longevity in repetitive firingThat being saidmy Ultra Carry II is Aluminum Frame and have several thousand rounds without issueAdditionally, the Grip Safety has changed over the years (some like it some don't) to what is called a Schwartz safetyMy TLE II has the Schwartzand no issues at allThe Warrior (I believe) does not contain the Schwartz safetyIf only choosing between the two, and Price is not a concern, I would get the WarriorI would also look at the TLE II for a little lessMine has been FlawlessIf a Tactical Rail is neededthey make a TLEII-RL.
I do not recommend trying this yourselfIt is a very skilled trade and will take ages to completeYou have to properly fit the mesh to your head which is an art in itselfThen each and ever hair has to be crocheted/knotted onto the meshThe hairs are turned upside down for this process It is much much easier and less frustrating getting a professional to do thisThey take weeks to makeTens of thousands of hairs are involved.
There are two basic methods: with wefts, or by knottingEither way, it's a specialized technique, and requires proper instruction, and lots of practiceIf you have enough hair, you can practice nowBut you really should get some good instruction from a qualified wig-maker just to save hair and timeIt's quite easyjust takes a long time to get skilled at it.
