Question:

Which should be more permeable, sandstone or siltstone?

Which should have better capillarity, siltstone or sandstone? Explain

Answer:

Sandstone, because the particles are bigger.(permability)
I would expect sandstone to be more permeable. This is due to dolomite intrusion into the sandstone formation. Siltstone, mudstone, and claystone, are very fine grains, and are quite impermeable. Sandstone aquifers are common, but siltstone tends to provide an aquifer sequestration boundy.
usually atoms will react with each other and get a different charge, however, when this happens, one becomes positive and one negative. this means they will have an ionic bond like a magnet and won't be able to attract anything else.
