I am in the search for a good pair of speakers and have found that several speakers for home audio have a frequency response of 50-50k. The human ear sensitivity is 20-20k, why do this speakers need that frequency?
They are sometimes marketing gimmicks to attract people, but the only test to determine the speakers sound against your preference is to hear them and decide by your own.
Speakers don't have a flat response. It usually looks like a trapezoid ----- / The 50--50K speakers have a far more flat response within 20-20K than 150-20K speakers.
