To me the issue of who dresses Michelle Obama or Sarah Palin or Hillary Clinton have no concern for me. What does matter to me is the safety of my country, our economy, terrorists, white haters, USA haters, theft, greed and corruption of government. Why aren't those issue important to Democrats and Liberals?

She's just being hyper-sensitive, but, unfortunately, if she's going to play the race card, as they say, as a white girl there's really nothing you can do about it except apologize, a LOT! And she knows, it, too, so, either start apologizing, or blow her off altogether, one of the two. Good luck!
I suppose you could have been more diplomatic and not called anything she used on her hair grease, and the rubber sheet comment was just obnoxious. You should have said wash the cases in such and such or that you weren't sure how to handle silk, she should call a dry cleaner. Just because you are friends doesn't mean you can be mean.
