Question:

why are non magnetic metals used for wiring?

why are non magnetic metals used for wiring?

Answer:

if nothing happens, try the fuse.if the motor spins the rod connecting to the wiper arm, just tighten up the bolts connecting the twoit's extremely rare for a wiper motor to blow out.
For wiring we need to go for good conductors like Aluminium, Copper Silver in increasing order of conductivity. All of them happen to be dia or para-magnetic not fit for use as magnetic materials per se. But in Electromagnetic induction these are the choice like in motors and generators where the magnetic fields are the result of currents (flowing). When you say magnetic materials you are referring to Ferrro magnetic substances which have 'magnetic' retentivity or are permanent magnets.
wiper transmission located under the cowling. yes you should be able to replace it . not a major deal.
