I used to love Egypt so much, I am Egyptian myself. I thought that we were the best. But I'm starting to get really upset with Egypt. Why don't all the Arabs unite and gang up on Israel to win Palestine back. Egyptians shouldn't be shooting at other Arabs, our people. I understand they can't let everyone in. But Israeli's are driving them out and we should help.
Egypt is a reasonably stable economy and has built up a valuable tourist industry where tourists can travel around most of the country in safety. In fact, Egypt generally supports the Israeli government (not openly) as it sees Israel as another stable country in the region. Remember Egypt has closed its borders to Gaza except for some humanitarian help. Earlier this year the people of Gaza destroyed the fence or wall with bulldozers that were dividing the country to escape the problems and the Egyptian Army drove them all back behind the wall and re-erected the wall. They threatened to shoot the Palestinians who came over the border. Egypt sees the Palestinians as trouble makers and does not want them settling in Egypt. Don't kid yourself, the Hamas in Gaza are not popular in the region except for in Iran where they receive most of their money from. The majority of Palestinians in Palestine are led by Fatah who are much more peaceful and have put most of the troubles behind them. Egypt does not want terrorists in its country who may strike at Israel from Egypt.
