Question:

Why are the power door locks not working on my Pontiac Grand Am after replacing the key lock cylinder?

I replaced the key lock cylinder on my 2000 Pontiac Grand Am SE. I performed the re-learn process by cranking the engine over, then releasing to the ON position for about 9 minutes. During the 9 minutes the SECURITY light blinked the whole time, then at the end it went solid for a few seconds, then off. On the next cranking cycle I was able to start the engine and thought all was good. But now when I open the door the car beeps as if the key is left in the ignition and the automatic locks are disabled with the door opened. I used to be able to automatically lock the doors with the door open, with no annoying beeping sounds. What is the problem?

Answer:

The 90 percent is an offer to settle the lawsuit against her. If you don't want it, then sue her for the damage. The insurer will defend and will pay any judgment against her. The company owes no obligation to be fair to you.
make a police report so it can be documented. those stand up in court. also, get a restraining order. and if she is making harrassing phone calls, talk with your phone service provider to see how to trace the calls. you can also make a police report for those.
What I hear a lot of people here saying is it is your fault. So if a child had been playing by the hydrant, would the child be at fault because the driver does not look behind her. You can file in small claims. It is up to you. Time might not make the 10 percent, but using the insurance company's attorney might not be worth it to them. It is a crap shoot.
If your insurance company does the work then you would lose the amount that is the deductible, usually $250 or more. If her insurance repair won't be that much than you are probably splitting hairs with her and should settle and not park in illegal places any more.
WHO ask u to park by a fire hydrant in the first place?? If you don't accept the 90%, you may not even get a single cent at all
