How many surfaces do you combine with a disk to form a whole surface? If the blade is a body, the disk is an entity, and the two are not combined, it is not possible to use a pattern plane. You can edit the moving object, rotate the leaf blades, and then try again.
If you can't attach the original entity, it will not merge. Check clearly, whether some are very small, very belittle the surface, did not pick.
