Question:

Why can't we have a stronger and better GUN CONTROL SYSTEM? 2nd time posting this Q!?

Once Again!!! I'm 99.9% certain that the number of people kill each year by the use of guns CAN BE AVOIDED. So why can't congress abolish all guns to the general public? Don't give me the 2nd admentment crap eitherfreedom to bare arms (you still have your knives and baseball bat). Also for you hunters out there, you can establish a rental system at desinated hunting grounds. its not the gun that kills people, its the person.some say. I say BS! 6 months ago - 18 answers - Note: You are still not guarantee tobe safe from people who uses gunscause of wackos, and of smugglings of the weapon. but you are guarantee the limited access, and amount of guns out there. Freedom to bare arms was a law establish for the citizens in case their government goes insane and kills its own people. Chances are low for that to happen in the US. And no, its not a good feeling the you don't have a gun, and someone out there dolets hope that someone is a cop, or in the military.

Answer:

you can cover the wall with coned foam rubber sheets
The system has been established for too long to feasibly change. Imagine how much it would cost to change it all. Take, for example, the auto industry. Every single measurement on an American made car is based on the inch-pound system. Every single tool used to create, and then to repair, that car, uses the inch-pound system. Every tiny detail is based on that system. Then consider, say, the printing industry. We have certain basic print sizes and font sizes, all based on the inch-pound system. All the machines that do commercial printing are based on the inch-pound system. All the machines that weigh the product are based on the inch-pound system. All the trucks that ship that product, like all American cars, were made with that system. Pick any other industry you want, and it's all based on the inch-pound system in America. Now think of how you would change that. It would cost more money than the government has to change the system. And even if we could somehow get the money to implement the metric system across all industries, how would we actually go about implementing it? Would everything in the country just shut down for the years it would take to change everything? In short, there's no way to do it without wasting more money and time than we have available. So in the end, it's less of a hassle to just grab a calculator and convert when you have to.
