i am doing this investigatory project about different kinds of windows and im testing the difference between glass and plastic windows and i found that plastic windows make the room hotter than glass windows. Why is this so? what is in both these materials that causes this result? what are they made of and what contributes to this result? please help me. i need this by tomorrow!!!:(
It has to do with how well the material conducts energy. Plastic is probably a better insulator which means it does not transfer energy well. Glass is also an insulator but maybe it isn't as good of an insulator. Try doing more research on the conductive/heat transfer properties of glass vs. plastic.
