I got my Sentra last spring, and have loved it! Until it started to snow the first time I was out on the icy roads, I was shocked when my car seemed to lose control. It felt like I was fish tailing, when the roads didn't even seem to be too bad. I've lived in snowy conditions my whole life, and I've never had a problem with my car like this. My initial reaction was that my tires were summer tires only. I went to three different tire shops to ask them about my problem, and all of them told me the tires were all-season tires, and that they should be fine. I never replaced my tires, but I've spent all winter scared to death to drive on even wet roads, much less icy or snowy. Has anyone else had this problem? Are new tires the answer? Or is there something wrong with my Sentra?
Yes and when it happens I run around the house like a crazy person looking all over for it every time and finally when I track it down to that damn 1970's smoke detector I'm like OMG I feel so stupid.. Its funny cause the other day I was at my neighbors house dog sitting and playing the x-box (the game was VEXX) anyway so I'm kicking' butt on this game right and all of a sudden I hear chirp chirp chirp chirp I'm finally like AAAAAAAHHHHHHH I can't take it anymore what is that noise okay so I tear down like 5 smoke detector and finally find it rip the batteries out and I couldn't find any more batteries so I just put it back on the wall with no batt. Hey its not like they don't have like 20 of them all over the house.. so when my friend gets home she like there for like 3 minutes and all of a sudden she goes hey what happened to the chirp that comes from my smoke detector Im like uhm I don't know why? she says well it chirps every 2 minutes and I have gotten used to it, its done it for like 5 months and I'm thinking this girl is crazy anyway I am rambling hey is 4:17 am and I am bored OK what else is there to do? sorry OK I'm done with my little story, if you have read this far I am sorry for boring you p.s. luv ya Matt :)
I would buy a lot of smoke detectors and be sure to install them properly and keep the batteries changed as recommended. Then I'd buy an escape ladder to keep in the kid's rooms, they fold down from a window in case of fire or emergency like that. For break-ins, a dog is a good deterrent, make sure he is friendly enough to not attack your kids, but territorial enough to scare off trespassers. You could even check on window alarms that go off if windows are jarred or opened. I think they sell those at most home stores and they aren't really expensive. And Pray. Don't forget that. If you don't ever get a good feeling about the neighborhood, I'd be looking for a new place. Peace of mind means a lot. Good luck.
yes, and if not it's very close.
The never ending explosions in Baghdad would come a close second.
