Question:

Why does my sterling silver ring turn my finger green?

It leaves this gross green satin on my fingerI wear it almost 24/7, its an antique.is that why? Help me!Thanks in advance.

Answer:

just use a turkey paster there basically the same thing and its long enough to get it all the way up there
I think Frank means turkey baster not paster lol
Sterling silver is not an inert metalAs you know, sterling silver forks, spoons, and bowls will tarnish, and need to be polished from time to timeAlso, ornate patterns in silver jewelry and tableware depend on the dark oxidation in the deeper indentations to look nice, and if people use the quick baking-soda-and-aluminum-foil method to remove tarnish, it removes the desirable oxidation too So if you want to wear your sterling silver ring, coat the inside and part way toward the outside with clear nail polish to separate the ring from the moisture on your fingerThis method also helps with gold rings that contain nickel and copper, to which some people are allergic.
