Answer:

the above stated is sound advice.i have been playing music for over 40 years now. about 10 years ago i turned my basement into a home recording studio.i have a separate control ,vocal and drum room.i went for the dead sound, because all effects are added during mix down.check out Auralex acoustics, they sell a wide variety of acoustic foam(foam rubber is not acoustic foam)for any sound proofing situation.i live in a ranch style home, with a full basement.it cost me bout $3700 to sound proof it.the base traps were the most expensive, they go in the corners to absorber the low end, during a recording situation.my drum room is about 12'x13'or so,it cost me around $400 or so to do it,that was 10 years ago.if your concerned about disturbing others in your household, acoustic foam is the way to go,if not,as stated, the above mentioned is sound advice. take care. d.
First you need to know how much force is required to crush the can. Then you need to decide what air pressure to use. The resultant of the pressure and piston cross section area will give you the force you need. Then you want to build in a safety margin for those cans which require a bit more force. Then you want to design the system so that it will be safe to operate. It would be preferable to design for a maximum crushed thickness and place a reversing switch at that height. Remember the bottoms of soft drink cans are generally parabolic so that they can resist bulging from the pressure of the carbonate in the can. This means that they will be a little harder to crush and you risk having too much force just to crush that last amount. You also need some way of removing the crushed cans effectively.
This Site Might Help You. RE: Replacing battery in an ac/dc Firex smoke detector? I have an ac/dc powered Firex smoke detector which is chirping. Since it is hard wired, I assume that the 9 volt back-up battery needs to be replaced. However, I can't get to it. There is a door that opens on a small hinge, and I can open the door a bit and see the battery inside
