I have searched the internet and books, but there is no explanation as to why I have to plug the mouth of test tubes and other glass apparatus with cotton and then aluminum foil before placing them in hot air oven.Every instruction just say to plug it with cotton but give no explanationAnyone have any idea?
you could probably buy bags of the little styrofoam balls, the tiny tiny ones i dont know about fabric sounds like it would take forever to fill and be heavy .
