Question:

Why is it when recycling plastic bags...?

That you don't have to separate the plastics by number? What do they use plastic bags for anyways? I've seen them made into benches. It's kinda dissapointing that something that might have been recirculated back into plastic manufacturing was made into a bird-poop infested bench. Why don't they use plastic bags into something useful? Or do they? Like recirculate them back into virgin plastic? Would that require separation of #2 and #4 plastics?

Answer:

As far as I know, plastic bags aren't even recycled, but I agree with you, they should recycle them, unless they were made in a way they can't be processed for recycling
Recycled plastics can be turned into a variety of things, one of them is plastic film. They use plastic film in the walls of green houses. Although it usually doesn't just stay as film it can be turned into things like lawn furniture and plastic lumber. They can also be used as an insulation what keeps a sleeping bag and some jackets and coats warm i recycled material coming from plastics that keep the air from slipping out. Other things like books, plant pots, and playground equipment is all recycled. And it depends on what they are making that decides what plastics are used keep recycling ;) V
Plastic Bags can be recycled, It’s recycled as film Grade, and can be make it again Plastic Bags or in other packaging materials. Many recycling factories recycle plastic bags continuously and buy plastic bags scrap from over the world in huge numbers. You can Visit this company, they are on of them.
Don't really know, but here in UK the larger supermarkets have a collection point for carrier bags, so I stuff all my plastic bags there inside a carrier bag.
