he licks everything plastic! plastic bags, plastic wrappers etc... wtf?
Mine does it too, she also likes licking fake plants. I was told that they are attracted to the scent plastic gives off... but who knows for sure.

OMG!!! My cat actually chews on it and swallows plastic! Weird, but i read thru your answers and now i know why to. LOL, heehee.
My cat does the samething, I think it is the crinkle sound the plastic makes.
Plastics are made out of oils, sometimes including animal fat or fish oils that have been rendered. As a result, they smell really good to cats. My older cat likes to stomp on plastic bags and eventually curls up to take a nap on them. My younger cat licks other random things, like my pants and the door frame. Sometimes they just seem to like the sensation; other times the chemical make-up of the plastic or varnish (in the door frames) attracts them. It's pretty common, and as long as they aren't ingesting the plastic or licking something with other chemicals, it shouldn't be dangerous, but don't leave them unsupervised with attractive plastics laying around.
