Question:

Why is silver less reactive than copper?

A question that‘s been bugging me for a while. and the fact that i can‘t remember why is even more annoying. So why is it less reactive? It‘s considered inert, but its properties seem to point to the fact that it should be more reactive than even iron

Answer:

Silver is as reactive as copper. Certainly, silver is so reactive that it's utilized in movie to tarnish when the sunshine hits it. If the statue used to be made of silver it will have taken France's country wide funds to finance it. Also, it might almost always seem like a splotchy lump of coal in these days. If reactivity is of real trouble to then you make your statues out of 22K or better gold. They'll seem the identical in 4000 years as they appear at present. That is a just right investment.
