Question:

Why my power supply gives a squeezing noise when i plugged in the power cable and computer does not turns on?

The green light on the back of the power supply comes on when the power cable is plugged. also, every time i plug in the power cable, the fan on the power supply wants to spin, but it stops. The squeezing noise remains and i push the power button - nothing comes on. Before, it used to come on for a few seconds and then it will turn off by itself. I though it was a virus, so i restarted in safe mode to scan it. The PC stayed on for like 30 minutes and then it turn off by itself. But every since it does not wants to come on. Is the power supply gone? If so, how can still the green button comes on and the squeezing noise remains?please help me out! I need my PC! thanx in advanced!

Answer:

ROFLMAO What's a squeezing noise?!?
i think the unique furnish replaced into probable effective.... only not completely 'firing' by using fact the load is in blunders. a quick or different blunders on the feed factor is undesirable. this variety of skill furnish reacts to, and is controlled via, the load. troublesome to describe! At any fee, the project may be in the laptop and not the skill furnish itself.
Yea its gone. the reason it ran in safe mode is because safe mode doesn't heat up your computer like if running normally. Most likely you're power supply isn't even supplying enough power to your fans to keep the CPU and cards cool, so its forcing itself to shut down. I would plug it in and open the side of your case and see if your fans are even running when you turn it on. If it not turning on at all now, just buy a new one. Power supplies are something you definately don't want to go cheap on. Buy a thermaltake or an antec and if you play games, I would get one that's at least 500W
