Question:

why my tiles don't stick to the floor?

We have a big problem with our tiles in our bathroom, they wont stick. We have painted the floor with the pva. used (waterproof athesive) don‘t know if thats the correct name for it. my boyfriend has let his dad do the tiling as he knows how to do it. i told him to get a profesionals. but he wants he‘s dad. so now we have been having this problem. if any one knows what should we do or use different glue or something, that would really help., thanx

Answer:

The water proofing is stopping the adhesion of the tiles. The tiles have a latex adhesive and will not penetrate the water proof paint that you applied. You may have to use a very course sand paper to score the water proof paint and dig it up enough the and adhesive on tiles has something to hold on to. I'm a builder 30 years.
What kind of sub-floor are you try to glue the tiles to? Are they vinyl tiles or ceramic tiles?
Go to the tile store and take a tile and the glue you used and ask for help.
Tile, like Ceramic / Porcelain tile? Or do you mean vinyl tile? If vinyl tile, the PVA should work, unless the floor beneath (concrete slab) wasn't prepped properly. If its ceramic, Porcelain or any kind of hard, individual tile, you should not be using floor adhesive, you should be using thin set (mortar) as an adhesive. The only way that wouldn't work is if your floors are so uneven that you can' get a good 'grab'. In that case, the floors need to be floated. Either way, sounds like daddio isn't as great as made out to be, get a professional in there, STAT!
First off, PVA glue is a BIG NO NO! it is a craft glue and should never be used for installing any kind of tile unless its in a doll house! The glue will not stick to the tiles and will come up soon after you walk on them!!! Stick your finger in that glue and wait for it to dry, You will be able to peel it off and almost have the same shape of your finger! Pretty cool but not good for tile installation! What kind of tiles are they? Ceramic or stone? You should be using thinset to install the tile! VCT tile? you should be using VCT contact cement/glue! Remove the tiles, Peel any Glue off the tile and floor (should be very easy to do) and use the proper adhesive for the tile you have!
