Question:

Why wont my car alarm turn off when I jump start?

My car needs to be in a need of a jump start but after connecting all the terminals and starting the engine my car alarm starts to go off and will not stop. I even tried using my remote but it would not work.

Answer:

Ok simple.fill the resovouir pump it leave it for 5 minsgo to the banjo bolt coming into the caliperget a vice gripsok about 2 inches acove the banjo bolt from the caliper squeeze the vice grips tight squashing the pipenow get a clear line tube and fit it tight over the bleed valve connect that tube to the nozzle of a sprayetc (or other squezze spray item make sure it is clean)degtegent squeeze bottle the other end of the squezze bottle(the tube hanging down from the trigger)let the tube connected to it suck up brake fluidforce the brake fluid into the calipertighten the bleed valve.now go to the master cylinder 2 inches down from the banjo bolt squeeze the brake line tightnow pump the handle four or five timesrelease both gripsyou will fell pressure on the handle pump the handle and bleed the brakes as normalno pressure is usually from a piston stuck in the caliper to far backby pushing fluid in from bleed valve and locking of the brake line you will release itby locking of the master cylinder and pumping you will gather pressurejob done
The basic brake bleed: With fluid in resevior-pump lever several times HOLD it while you (or someone else) releases the bleeder screw down on the calipher, repeat until brake starts working. If you can't seem to get it, make sure the master cylinder or hose is not tilted up-hill, it has to be flat or slightly down-hill, turn the handle bars or loosen and rotate the master cylinder if need be. If you still can't get it, test the master cylinder by taking the hose off and holding your finger over the hole. Pump the lever, if the fluid can't push your finger off the hole and squirt out something is wrong with the master cylinder and it will need to be rebuilt. If master cylinder passes test, then look for problem in hose or calipher. Brake systems are usually stone reliable, howver, due to neglect they sometimes get gummed up and/or contaminated.

A lot of newer cars have weird characteristics with regard to security systems and power. You have to look under jump starting in your owner's manual or go online. My wife's car is like that, when I jumped it nothing worked, the radio, etc. I had to do something with the key I think. There may even be a reset button under the hood. All I know i that it's made that way; you just need to know what you have to do to get things going again. Oh yeah, when I replaced the battery in my car, I had to call Honda and have them beam something via satellite to my XM radio to get it working again. Similar type of thing.
