I have a netbook and i hate typing on the tiny keyboard so i bought a used logitech cordless keyboard.It has no usb to plug in the back, It came with no instructions so i put the batteries in the back, then pushed a red button that said connect on the bottom.Nothing happened so i went to my bluetooth setting's and clicked search for bluetooth connection but it say's error.Am i doing something wrong or do you think the keyboard is broken?
There is a piece to plug into the computer that picks up the signal from the keyboard to make it work right. If you don't have that then the keyboard probably isn't going to work. You also have to train the keyboard to recognize or work with the missing part. Always start with fresh batteries.
ur missing apart that goes with the keyboard its a small usb stick that will go into your netbook to create a wireless connection with ur keyboard. u will need that usb stick. without that they keyboard wont work. its garbage without it. if u have the stick plug it in to the usb port of ur netbook and then clik the connect button on ur keyboard and it should work fine. or else return it and buy a new one
Your computer might not have bluetooth, that's what the dongle was for you don't have. I think you got burned. Happens when you buy used.
Its hard to tell, but if one things for sure, its not your fault. If the keyboard is very used, then the bluetooth may be broken in it. Always try switching the batteries, even if 1 battery is dead, it has trouble connecting.
