i have a hp pavilion f1703 if that helps.and harman/kardon speakers too.does anyone know why theyre not working
have they ever worked? if not you probably have them hooked up wrong. and if they did at one time work then you might have blown a fuse or the speakers themselves.
The best way to test if speakers work is to put a 9V battery against both wires. If the speaker 'cackles' it means the speaker works. If it doesn't, or nothing happens, the speaker is probably damaged. This is also an excellent way to determine which speaker wire is connected to which speaker when installing car audio equipment. The battery will do no damage to the speaker whatsoever.
