Question:

Will I still be conviction free, if I backed up into something?

So, I backed up into a fire hydrantI know stupid, but the Maryland driving program says that you should be conviction free for 6 months while you have your Provisional Licence and I've only had my Provisional Licence for 4 months. Does that mean I have to start my whole Provisional period over if I make a claim to my insurance about the damage?

Answer:

Lightning rods are designed to dissipate the electrical power of a storm. Usually, rather than attracting a bolt of lightning, they will constanty allow slight differences in charge to transfer from the sky to the earth, making it much less likely for a lightning bolt to strike in the area. this is good news for nearby trees, your house, and often the homes of neighbors. When lightning does build up enough, a properly installed metal lightning rod will be the path of least resistance to ground, where the bolt is trying to get in the first place but the damage to your home, and nearby trees should still be less than usual.
System Three Resins, Inc. of Auburn, WA has a product for this application called MirrorCoat. It is available from Woodcraft Supply stores.
