Question:

Will my ATM card work after ironing?

I have ironed my ATM card because it has been folded and deformed, it now got back from its original form, but i am thinking about the magnetic stripe. Will it work even thought it is not touched by any magnetic material?

Answer:

Hello Joe, consider yourself lucky if it does!! It was not meant to undergo such physical stress. But if it has thank your stars and the card manufacturer. Be wise n don't do that again.
Prob not, since the magnetic information was altered by the fold. Chances are you could not flatten it out in the perfect original way. A bit or byte may have been lost.
Not likely. If you heated the stripe above the Curie point, the magnetic domains lost their alignment. Ask for a replacement.
