i have it set up in my closet with a normal light bulb and aluminum foil surrounding it i leave the light on all the time and i plan on watering it once daily, any striaght forward info would be greatly thanked
The main thing is what size your hands are380 is an excellent carry caliber- but some 380 pistols are just too small to hold if you have normal size handsIn 380- the LCP, Khar, and Kel-tec is just way too small for most menThe Sig 232 is great, as is the Walther PPKS, and the Bersa Thunder is fineKhar and Kel-tec both have a good sized 9mm but not a 380If you have small hands-the LCP, Khar, Kel-tec may work for youBut you had better check them out real good before you buyIt is very easy to fumble or mis-handle a tiny gun, especially in a tactical situationedit: actually I am very surprised to see so many speak well of the Sig 238I can not recommend this gun.
This months NRA Rifleman has a piece on the current crop of 380's Kahr P380 Kel Tec P3 AT Magnum Research Micro Desert Eagle Rhorbach R380 NAA Guardian Ruger Lcp Walther PK 380 Sig P238 and the Taurus 738 TCPjust about all of them shot 5-6 inch groups at benchrested on sandbags at 25 yardEvery one of the pistols tested had failure to feed or eject and all were considered worthy of a considerable break in period before they should be relied on for defensive carryRohrbach's MSRP is over $1000the cheapest is the Taurus at $336Ruger runs about $364Of all the 380's in this group I like the Sig Saur ($543 MSRP) the bestit's a duplication of the old Colt Mustanga mini 1911 based pistolThe major change is the safety can be engaged when you need to execute any of the functions to operate the pistol.load, clear, clear stoppagesThe down side is it is a 1911ccked and locked is how you roll with a 1911 for carry purposesand that takes a little training and dilligence to carry off safelyI have handled this pistolit's subtantial and compacthas enough heft and fills the hand while being small enough to tuck anyplaceAnd they come in $300 less than all the used Colts I've found the last few years.
noa 60w light bulb wont do anything for your plantsgo to home depot and grab some 85w CFL'saluminum foil works, but has heat issuesuse plastic like mylar or panda sheeting24hrs is to much, go with something between 14-18 hrs.
Most are going to be polymer, since they are for carryOther options like the LCP are the Kahr P380, Kel Tec P3AT 380, and the Bersa Thunder 380As I haven't shot any of these, I just know they are some of the more popular ones, listed from the most expensive (Kahr) to the least (Bersa) If you're a fan of steel-framed pistols, SIG makes the P230/P232 pistols, as well as the P238 (with the unmistakable SIG styling).
Kahr arms is a very good conceal carry optionTaurus now makes a 380 conceal carry option and its lifetime warranty.I dont think the lcp is that cheaply made reallyI thik it look a lot better than the ke-tec it copies.I have heard its ammo picky thoughMagnum research(makers of the desert eagle) makes a 380 baby eagleNorth American Arms makes a nice compact pistol tooI think the Kahr is the better option.
