Question:

Will silicone adhesive be strong enough to glue aluminum?

I have a 3 piece aluminum project2 of the parts are threaded tubes and the third is a double ended threadThe thread unscrews itself when i try to screw in all of the parts togetherwill silicone adhesive be good for glueing one end of the thread?

Answer:

You said both ends are threaded on one and one end is threaded on each of the other two.You didn't say what size pipe you have. You could use alumcouplings if you want the same strength .If not you could use pvc couplingsThe only Glue you could use would be a good grade of a two part Epoxi.Lowes usually have the kits in stock
