im getting a new computer but i want to be future proof so i want a mobo with bulldozer support. i heard only 9 series chipsets will fully support bulldozer. this mobo on the asus website is marketed under am3+ but it seems to be a 8 series.it also says it is am3+ cpu support ready. can any1 tell me if it will fully support bulldozer.
Yep. It's AM3+. However, Sandy Bridge may be a better investment. Intel has already said that Ivy Bridge due out early next year will run on the same socket. AMD didn't offer any performance numbers earlier this week, only a rough ship date. That's a very bad sign. If Bulldozer were as awesome as some were hoping, AMD would have shown it off and bragged about slapping Intel.
it will support the socket however, you will need to flash bios when the bulldozers actually come out
