Question:

Will wax warmers set off fire alarms?

I live in a college dorm and love using wax warmers to make the place smell nice. The one I have is ceramic and is lit by a small light bulb. Not entirely sure if there's anything in our rule books about these things, but I know that we're not allowed to have candles or incense. Just curious as to whether or not I should plug it in. Thanks!

Answer:

Good snows on all 4 corners will do you well. Studs work best for ice, they do reduce traction slightly on dry pavement. Most people don't notice much difference. You shouldn't, if you drive reasonably. Studded snows will get you wherever you need to go. (If they can't, you shouldn't be going)
I live in Indiana, and always had studded snow tires when I had rear-wheel-drive. With front-wheel drive, good winter or even all-season tires will probably do just fine.
Only people with experience of having a nut case coworker where big scary goggles to work?? I don't think there will be alot of responses. He might just be trying to get a rise out of you.
Studded I lived in Idaho for 2 years and all I did was add 3 sand bags to the back of my pickup. My advantage was that I had driven in snow growing up and knew how to control my vehicle.
Buy chains and put them on your regular tires.they're a hassle to get on/off, but some [places will do that for you at the time of purchase!
