I have to plug up a Nisan antenna adapter to my aftermarket radio. The adapter has a blue wire. Its is suppose to be connected to the radios power-antenna/turn on lead. Do anyone know which wire is the turn on lead?
the remote wire is blue with a white line the solid blue wire is power antenna if you do not have a power antenna dont worry about it
In most after-market radios, the power antenna wire is solid blue. Some don't have a true power antenna wire, though; they just have a remote wire. In this case, the wire will usually be blue with a white stripe. The difference is that a true power antenna wire will only produce voltage when you have tuner selected on the head unit, while a remote wire will produce voltage whenever the head unit is switched on, regardless of the source selected. Either will work to activate a power antenna (or antenna amplifier). P.S. You should connect the wire even if you do not have a power antenna. Many newer vehicles are equipped with antenna amplifiers which need to be activated through the power antenna wire.
