Question:

wire popped out of my last bracket?

i was eating, and my wire popped out of my bracket. its the very back tooth and there's no teeth in front of it until it reaches the front teeth, because i had to get teeth pulled for the braces. and my orthodontist wont be there until tuesday, because of holidays.what do i do? should i just put a piece of wax on it?will it damage my teeth moving process?

Answer:

I'd call your orthodontist tomorrow so they can make sure that it is replaced correctly so it can work right. In the meantime you can use some orthodontal wax if the wire is sticking the side of your mouth.
The moving of teeth is a very slow process. Having a loose wire or bracket is not going to harm your mouth in such a short time period. Make a dentist appointment as soon as you can fit it into your schedule. If the wire is poking your cheek, try bending it out of the way a little and/or put wax on it. If it isn't bothering you, eat on the other side of your mouth and don't stress.
omg that happened to me. So i was kind of stuck but then i examined. The wire was pushed OUT going outwards towards your cheek, now do the oposite and it should pop back into place. It sounds complicated on here, get a mirror and do it. Im here to help
