I'm brand new to the game, and I'm unaware to what the copper is that some monsters drop.It's not copper bars is just copper #
Copper is currency. You can use it to purchase food and drink, armor, weapons, and just about anything you can imagine you can most likely find somewhere in game. There are 100 copper in 1 silver and 100 silver in 1 gold. If you are new to the game and don't know anyone in real life that also plays that can help guide you, there are many sites that help get even the newest people off and running!
Hello. When you loot an animal, it may say something like 16 copper. This is a form of currency. 100 copper pieces 1 silver piece 100 silver pieces 1 gold piece Other types of copper are, as you said copper bars, and copper ore. Ore is used for mining and blacksmithing, bars are used for blacksmithing. The currency is used for buying and repairing etc. :)
If you are getting Copper then it is money. Save it. As far as items go, if the item name is: Gray: it is trash and you can sell to vendor White: People will use it for a tradeskill/quest item Green: It is better than white items and is a common drop Blue: It is better than green items and are a more rare drop Purple: Even better than blue and are very rare drops (epics) Orange: the highest item you can get. You usually have to do speical quests to get these items.
